the car was readied for its 2nd 1hr race, the 1st since Alex McMillan in April 1954.
2009 Adams / Bamford Spa ‘Six Hr Meeting’ Woodcote Trophy Race - Steve Bamford crashed the car - this may have been due to tyre tube failure (a new one, as all the wheels, tyres & tubes were for once) , before Chris could drive the car in the last half of the race (or Jean on the road, for that matter) so it finished in last place despite only finishing 9 laps - 50% of winner - you just can’t keep this car down !
